PRESIDENCY
The Presidency plays a central role in the operation and development of the Swiss Diplomacy Student Association. It enables the implementation of the strategic vision while supporting members and departments in their respective missions. By working closely with the teams, the Presidency ensures project coordination, addresses challenges, and maintains a collaborative and dynamic environment.
The external Presidency is primarily responsible for the Association’s external representation, whether to our partners, international institutions, or other associations. It also coordinates the Association’s external activities, particularly with the SDSA network and the pursuit of new collaborations.
The internal Presidency ensures effective communication and support for the departments. It is responsible for developing internal projects within the Association, such as member events, collaborations with other student associations, with the UNIGE faculty, and with other internal stakeholders. It ensures that members can bring their ideas to life in a creative, innovative and committed way.
Victoria Horisberger
EXTERNAL PRESIDENT
As a Bachelor’s student in International Relations and Law, I have always had a keen interest in the world of diplomacy. The Swiss Diplomacy Student Association was the perfect way for me to get involved in student life while developing new skills. As external president, I am particularly committed to promoting the values that the SDSA upholds and expanding our network both in Switzerland and internationally.
Joëlle Dubuis
INTERNAL PRESIDENT
As a Master’s student in Political and Cultural Geography, I joined the SDSA in the spring of 2024. The association has allowed me to combine my academic interests with a more informal way of discovering the diplomatic world. As internal president, I am particularly keen to strengthen ties with the rich diversity of actors on the international stage, in order to highlight the full complexity of this world. I am convinced of the importance of learning to deconstruct one’s assumptions in order to meet current global challenges and issues.
