Culture and Institutions
The Department of Culture & Institutions aims to immerse students in the world of diplomacy by organizing visits to international organizations (such as the WTO and the UN), government institutions, NGOs, think tanks, museums, and cultural foundations. This allows students to discover key venues for global diplomacy. We also organize visits to permanent delegations to the UN in Geneva, such as the delegations of the Council of Europe and the Pacific Islands Forum, to give students an understanding of the diversity of diplomatic perspectives. Visits with a greater focus on cultural aspects are also part of the program. Our goal is to give students the opportunity to discover institutions they might not otherwise have the chance to visit in their daily lives.

HEAD OF DEPARTMENT
My name is Majdouline, and I’m starting my final semester studying international and European law, after obtaining my bachelor’s degree in law in Lausanne. I’ve been a member of the SDSA for a year now, and I joined the Culture and Institutions department. The numerous visits to institutions in International Geneva are a unique opportunity and represent a concrete first step into the world of international relations for me.
My involvement with the SDSA allows me to deepen my interest in international issues, while enriching me both personally and professionally.
